This role-play is set during the Marauders' last three years at Hogwarts. The wizarding world is quite a different place than it is during Harry Potter’s lifetime. We will play to canon.

Sirius smiled a bit against the back of Sev’s neck, but he loosened his arms a little more, too. “Sorry,” he mumbled, not really sorry at all. He was warm and comfortable, and if he got up to use the loo they wouldn’t get back into bed like this.
He realized what day it was about the same time Sev did, but he was a bit more pleased about it. He was… not at home for Christmas morning. There would be no fighting, no screaming. No cursing. Even Reggie would probably have a quiet Christmas morning, he realized, his chest clenching a bit. No Sirius to disrupt things. He would need to write his little brother later, although he was sure Reggie would know he was alive by now; Bella and their father would undoubtedly be furious.
He hoped Reg was safe…
Swallowing, he forced his newly-tense muscles to relax again. “Happy Christmas,” he mumbled. “Have your present. Was gonna wait til after break, but… get to see you after all.”

Currently pressed up against Sirius, his arms around him, Severus could feel when Sirius tensed, as well as when he relaxed again. This didn’t particularly surprise him, all things considered. Especially when Sirius mumbled ‘Happy Christmas.’
Was it really? Severus wasn’t sure about that. After all… Sirius had just run away from home in order to keep from being murdered. That didn’t sound particularly happy to Severus, who though clearly no expert on happiness could probably tell it when he saw it.
At least Sirius was safe for now, he concluded. That was good, if not exactly “happy.” No one would find him here. How could they?
Presents, then, are mentioned, and Severus pauses for a minute, not sure what to say. He’d spent a good month and a half trying to determine if he should or should not get Sirius anything. The only reason it had even occurred to him was because he had to get Lily something (as she always got him something); she was the only one he ever did get anything for, mainly because if he didn’t and she did he would feel like a jerk and worse, actually care that he felt like a jerk.
So that had brought him along to wondering about Sirius, another person he suddenly cared about enough to not want to feel like a jerk. And then, once he’d determined that well, he could always get him something and then not give it to him if he changed his mind, the question of what became a serious* issue. After all, Sirius was not only filthy rich, he was Sirius. What he hell do you get him? Aside from perhaps something with buttons to press, that would keep him occupied. Buttons that did nothing would baffle him for hours. Actually, now that he thought of that, that would be hilarious…
“Happy Christmas,” he responded after a minute, wondering how in the world Sirius had thought to bring his present with him when he’d suddenly found himself on the run but eventually deciding it didn’t really matter. “I’ve yours as well,” he added a moment later. Which was less surprising, since he lived there. “I haven’t a tree or anything.” The very idea seemed downright ridiculous to him. Why cut down a tree just to stuff it in your living room for a couple of weeks and then to throw it away? Seemed a waste of a tree. And a lot of work for no good reason. Strangely, though, no one ever seemed to agree with him on this matter.

Not surprised in the slightest by the lack of festive decorations and such, Sirius just smiled, shrugging. "What would you do with it after you had to go back? It'd turn all brown and get needles all over your parlor."
He sighs. "I'd get your present, but I'd have to get up." His bladder informed him that he'd be getting up soon anyway unless he wanted to relieve himself all over Sev.
"It's in my trunk." Which is still shrunken and in his pocket. He should maybe remove the charms from that.

“Well, that would match the bathtub in the kitchen,” Severus remarked after a moment’s thought, considering pine needles all over the parlor. Honestly, though, despite his remarks, that made sense and was exactly why he didn’t bother. That, and there was no reason to. He would only spend Christmas alone.
Or… he’d thought he would. Apparently not, now. Although Sirius might want to go somewhere else. Didn’t he usually run off to Potter’s? Then again, of course his family would look for him there. Still, Severus didn’t want to assume Sirius would stay. Or… get his hopes up. Not that he had hopes to be getting up.
He’s distracted, though, from thoughts of that by Sirius’ mention of his trunk. Which… he definitely had not seen the night before. “Your trunk?” he repeated, a bit confused. After all, he’d seen no sign of it.

Yawning, Sirius sighed dramatically, removing one hand from around Sev and rooting around in his pocket. "Damn, I'm lying on it." He lifted his hips, finally recovering the tiny trunk and showing it to Sev. "Didn't have any other way to carry it, on my broom."
Another dramatic sigh. "I have to pee, but then I'll resize it." He was extremely reluctant to let go... but then he realized that he could probably wrangle sleeping like that for the remainder of their holiday break. And that put him in a much better mood. Suddenly quite pleased, he clambered over Sev and out of the bed, heading for the bathroom.
He returned two minutes later, having remembered to wash his hands, and picked up the tiny trunk and his wand, returning it to its normal size and weight. And then he rooted around inside until he came up with a large, oddly-shaped package, handing it to Sev. "Happy Christmas," he announced with a grin. "And it's not even anything explosive."
Inside were a set of shiny new copper cauldrons, five different sizes, all stored inside of each other, because he's noticed Sev's were a bit dinged up, and figured that he would appreciate a practical gift that he could make use of more than something pointless. And inside the smallest cauldron was a little soapstone fox figurine. And then he recalled that there was a second part to the gift, and he rooted around in his trunk again until he found the small blank notebook bound in green leather, also wrapped, for Sev's notes, so he could have something to scribble in constantly once he filled up next year's textbook.
