The Rules

• You can have either canon characters or original characters, but keep in mind that we are playing by canon. So don’t hook up Snape and Lily, don’t make Remus gay, don’t have Sirius get married, none of that shit.

• No omnipotent characters and no god-moding, fuckers.

• Remember the time setting, please! Voldemort is JUST RISING into power. The Order has NOT YET been created. Dumbledore just RECENTLY became Headmaster. Don’t play out of the time period.

• Respect other people. Don't be a jackass.

• Don’t kill other characters. There is absolutely no killing of anyone’s character. That’s not cool. Side note: Admins do have the power to overrule this rule. If we have a reason (or your permission) we will kill your character.

• Write in third person, past tense.

• Don’t spam. I’ll delete your posts.

• In case you didn’t know, this site is not a porn site. Do not post X-rated material on this site. Kissing is okay, a little lovey-dovey stuff is absolutely fine, and I’ll even allow a little innuendo and mentions of sex your characters have had. But do not post the actual sex. I’ll delete it and immediately ban you and/or kill your characters in a creative and fun-for-everyone-but-you way.

• Posts that are IN CHARACTER should be at least 3 paragraphs long, preferably more. Bananas in the character sheet are purple. A full paragraph consists of at least 5 good sentences.

• Keep in mind what your character does and does not know. Yes, you know about Remus's furry little problem, but unless you play Dumbledore, Madam Pomfrey, or one of the Marauders, your character doesn't. This goes for the Marauders Animagus abilites. Only a select few know about it.

• Be active. Try to post at least three times a week in the RPG board.

• Within the boundaries of the Marauders fifth year, there is no distinct time setting. Two threads can be going at a time, one saying it's Tuesday morning, one saying it's Saurday evening.

• No computer shortcuts, dumbass.

• Signatures should not be larger than 200x500. If they’re a little over, we won’t kill you, but try to keep it in that general size range. You may also have text with your sig, but no advertising or obscene stuff. And avatars should not be larger than 100x 100. Because we said so.
